| Joppa Sub Locomotive Roster |
The Joppa Sub's locomotive roster consists of mainly four axle locomotives. These will be of the GP15-1, GP38-2, and U23B types. This mimics the prototype's Missouri Pacific Railroads' practices. The trainmaster of the Joppa Sub preferred the use of the four axle units, since the Sub was mainly a coal branch with some local merchandise traffic.
Atlas' four axle GP 38/40 drive currently is the basis of the fleet, along with their U23B models. Athearn's GP15-1's are now available.
All models are custom painted and detailed, and most of the GP series units will feature the Atlas Master series GP four axle drive assembly, but with a complete shell consisting of Cannon & Co. diesel components...built on an Atlas Master GP40-2 deck. That is why I have the Cannon & Co. listing as a manufacturer. I feel that is best remedy to get an accurate GP38-2 in service at this time.
