| Joppa Sub Locomotive Roster |
The Joppa Sub's locomotive roster consisted of mainly four axle locomotives. These were of the GP15-1, GP38-2, and B23-7 types. The trainmaster of the Joppa Sub preferred the use of the four axle units, since the Sub was mainly a coal branch with some local merchandise traffic. All trains were considered extra trains or locals anyway.
Athearn's GP15-1 is the main unit I'm going to feature. All models are custom paint jobs and will be fully detailed. I have 12 units planned...to include the many numerous variations of the GP15-1. I have likewise decided to bring back some GP38-2's to the roster, along with a GP40. I am getting to the point however, where I want to get the roster completed and start building the layout again.
The Caboose fleet will consist mainly of Railyard Models MP cabooses. These are excellent models and will fill the bill very well for the layout. All will be custom painted and decaled by myself. All cars will have Sergent couplers installed as well. I made the decision after building the newer Railyard Caboose kits with etched metal handrails. They are superb cars... Additionally, there may be one WrightTrak KO&G International Caboose added once they are available. OMI extended vision cars are still a possibility, but are pending delivery dates.
