Layout Updates-New Information

1. Well...Athearn knocked my socks off January 28...when they announced a new Genesis GP38-2. The GP38-2 is the FIRST locomotive featured in this new Genesis series...let's hope for a GP50...down the line!! At any rate...all the the GP38-2 shells and project parts were sold off...And I'm now focused more on the GP15-1's...GP40's...and a couple of U23B's...I plan for at least 6 Athearn GP38-2's when they arrive around Christmas.

2. We are indeed selling our house...so the Joppa Sub will be on hold for a while. I need to build my new fleet...anyway...Kind of a bummer, really...but it will be beneficial in the long run with a large basement and new track plan that doesn't need as many helixes. I am a mere 6 years from retirement anyway...and I have at least four years worth of motive power and rolling stock to build!!!

3. Looking forward to the new stuff on the horizon in 2012...hoping to see new MP Bethlehem Coal hoppers this year!! With those...I would essentially be "done" with needed models. My motive power will again be 99% Athearn...coming full circle...and hoping I'll have a fleet of coal hoppers to pull with the Athearn Genesis Fleet!

4. Will be attending The Wheaton Show in February 2012.... The Boeing Show in March is another likely stop for me...and I am planning on doing the Collinsville RPM Meet at the end of July.
